Welcome to Sertoma of Bradenton

Service To Mankind. It’s more than just how we got our name

Service To Mankind has been our foundation for over 100 years. Sertomans across the country are unified with a single purpose: serve our communities and improve the lives of those who need help. Our mission and our passion is to improve the quality of life for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss through education and support.

 

The Sertoma Club of Bradenton has supported many of those needing assistance in the Manatee County area for over 60 years.

As the photograph to the left depicts, we have recently provided financial support to F.E.L.T. (Feeding Empty Little Tummies). The Sertoma Club of Bradenton Board of Directors members; Bill Stewart, Dick Seagle and Jack Gjeldum presenting $4,000 to F.E.L.T. This organization provides over 1,200 backpacks every Friday to school kids who otherwise would not have any meals over the weekend. Each backpack contains two breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners.

 

The Sertoma Club of Bradenton Donated $59,000 to Renovate the Dental Clinic at the Turning Points Free Health Clinic

The renovation (including four new chairs) allows Turning Points to continue to improve the lives of others and give them hope for their future. Just in the past year, 1,411 men and women received medical or dental care at the Health Center and 126 women and men received oral prosthetics in the Dental Clinic.

Sertomans are committed to helping those with hearing and speech disabilities. Our voice cannot always be heard. For those who cannot hear, there is Sertoma.

Our club provides very generous Academic Scholarships each spring to deserving Manatee County public high school seniors to attend a 4-year accredited college of their choice.
