The Sertoma Club of Bradenton has supported many of those needing assistance in the Manatee County area for over 60 years.
The Sertoma Club of Bradenton is dedicated to improving lives throughout Manatee and Sarasota counties through community service, hearing-health support, and charitable giving. The club helps local residents access essential speech, language, and hearing services, ensuring care is available regardless of ability to pay. Sertoma also supports youth through generous academic scholarships and partners with organizations like F.E.L.T., Turning Points, the Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Clubs, and others to meet critical community needs. From funding dental clinic renovations to providing meals for children, Sertoma focuses on real, local impact and invites members to join in serving their community.
The Sertoma Club of Bradenton proudly supports local students through its Community Academic Achievement Scholarships, awarded each spring to outstanding Manatee County public high school seniors pursuing a four-year college education. Through annual fundraising efforts, the club contributes over $40,000 back into the community, funding student scholarships and supporting local nonprofits. Sertoma also established a University of South Florida Endowed Scholarship in 2012 for graduate students in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Recent scholarship recipients, including students in health sciences and criminal justice, exemplify academic excellence, community service, and leadership—reflecting Sertoma’s commitment to empowering the next generation.
The Sertoma Club of Bradenton is dedicated to supporting individuals affected by hearing and speech challenges throughout the Manatee–Sarasota area. As part of Sertoma’s long-standing national mission, the club advocates for healthy hearing, provides access to screenings, supports treatment, and connects people with essential resources—especially those who cannot afford care. Sertomans work with compassion, empathy, and determination to give a voice to those who struggle to be heard. Through community partnerships, volunteer outreach, and hearing-health initiatives, the club helps residents receive screenings, low-cost hearing aids, and vital support services. For those who cannot hear, there is Sertoma.
Service To Mankind has been our foundation for over 100 years. Sertomans across the country are unified with a single purpose: serve our communities and improve the lives of those who need help. Our mission and our passion is to improve the quality of life for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss through education and support.
The Sertoma Club of Bradenton proudly donated $59,000 to renovate the Dental Clinic at the Turning Points Free Health Clinic, funding upgrades that included four new dental chairs. This investment helps Turning Points continue its mission of restoring health, dignity, and hope to those in need. In the past year alone, the Health Center provided medical or dental care to 1,411 individuals, while 126 patients received life-changing oral prosthetics through the Dental Clinic. Sertoma’s contribution ensures that even more members of our community can access compassionate, quality care when they need it most.
